I was watching Monday night football and on the little news strip at the bottom said that Demarcus Russell was signing and was expecting to come to practice.

I've only heard that Russell has finally signed with the Raiders. He's never even practiced with the team, so presuming that he would play anytime soon, is wishful thinking.

Yes he agreed to terms and will start practicing but he's light years away from playing. He's gotta learn the offense and catch up. What I don't get is why the Raiders flushed away this season they still gave him the biggest rookie contract ever and he's not going to help until well in the season. They should have just paid him top $ from day one, had him in training camp and gotten some value out of him this year.

its JaMarcus; and Kiffin is an idiot for starting McCLOWN over Culpepper, he won't win any fans in the Chocolate City of Oakland CA and he won't win many games either. He's 32 and if he was any good then he'd be playing!

Jamarcus Russell is planning to sign today and practice starting tomorrow. that's what was told to ESPN.
i doubt he will play anytime soon though.

As of today McNown is going to start but if his hurt hand is a problem come game time then Culpepper will be starting.
