I will strike AND man the pickets. We have had enough of low wages while the managers and bosses take the big pay increases.

I work in the voluntary sector; short term funded posts and low salaries. We have been waiting since 1st April for our cost of living rise (6 months) because we follow the lead of the NJC negotiating body (Local Government). No chance of us going on strike and we need our cost of living rise. I am a member of Unison because I believe in trade unionism but there is little they can do to help the voluntary sector workers. Only consulation; I love my job, managing a charity for frail elderly people.

it should be the right of every employee to be able to withdraw there labour and not get the sack for it
yes i do support those how have the guts to stand up to there employer. but most of the trouble starts with the government and there rule changes
your employer can finish your final salaried pension and put you in a stake holder pension if you strike as a mark of protest that you don't want the change they sack you

Yes I would - MP's get paid loads I think it is time they took a pay cut, don't you? lol

Not fair to make people take unrealistic wages. not at all. Hope they go for it and have a strike :)

Yes it's time that this government realised that the British people can't be walked all over. Good luck to them, but I hope they leave the electricity on so I can answer Yahoo questions.

I would support it 100%. I don't work in the public sector but I really do think it's unacceptable to be giving people 1% pay rises.

I think 'the class' should revolt en masse and execute any petit bourgiousie who criticise them!

Demand a national minimum wage of £30,000 per annum and deport all racists and other bigots to Switzerland.

Be surprised if I see a single thumbs down for this!

Well I dunno... their pay is not so good but they have better pensions because they are often guaranteed & their job security is better because they cannot be fired even if they are totally sh*te (slight exageration but you get the idea).

So on the whole, I would not support a re-run of the 70s where union power more or less f*cked up the whole country & led to Mrs Thatcher taking the reigns !
