Unfortunately, Cheney is still in the Vice-Presidency.

But yes, the neoconproject hasfailed--that was evidentlast November. Not that they are going to go away entirely. They are simply the latest manifestation of the anti-American element that America has been cursed with since it's beginning. In the first years of the Republic these were the slaveowners of the South; afteer the Civil war, this took form in the terrorist groups that formed the KKK. and so on. After World War 2, we saw another short-lived outbreak of this in the form of "McCarthyism."

The good news is that this element is--over the long run--gradually weakening and eventually will almost certainly die out intime. They won't be able to ever hold power for very long--their hatred, bigotry, and corruption are self-defeating.

I wish that were true. Unfortunately there is way to much profit in war and Cheney isn't satisfied with his 3000% increase in Haliburton stock.

I hope I'm wrong, but the plan all along has been to use Iraq as a staging point to invade Iran and Syria. It looks like things are simply proceeding according to plan.

I had hoped the Democratic Congress might stop the madness, but it turns out they are too spineless to make a stand on principles. Bush just keeps getting his way, and he's about to demand another $50 billion to pad his buddies pockets and murder global citizens.

I totally agree.

The Al Qaeda movement has grown exponentially because of U.S. Military occupation in Iraq. But Al Qaeda doesn't mind. They would rather kill our country's soldiers than civilians even though they don't directly say it. It's common sense that our enemies would rather take out the strongest Americans first, then go after the non-combative citizens.

The 9/11 attack was a response to greedy U.S. foreign policies on middle eastern countries. They don't hate us for our wealth and freedom.

Cheney is probably hunting with his buddy again. Hopefully he brought his lucky bulletproof facemask this time.

If you want to call preserving our country free from further terrorist attacks a failure then I agree.
