There's nothing to worry about. You have three more years to wait before you should start panicking. Everyone develops at her own pace. You will probably start around the age your mother and/or sisters started. Believe me, by the time it comes, you'll long for these days.

Don't despair! I didn't get mine until I was 14 years old. Everyone isn't on the same timetable as all others. Look at it this way, you might be one of the lucky ones to mature later and live longer! Be patient. It's a sign of becoming physically of age but it doesn't mean you are a grownup! That depends on your emotional maturity. Enjoy your youth. It doesn't last!

It will come when it does. Most girls get theirs between 14 and 16. If you haven't started any puberty changes by 16 you might want to see a doctor.
Also if you are on the thin side or highly athletic this may also be causing your period to delay.

count yourself lucky you don't have to deal with the inconvenience yet!! I didn't get mine until I was 14. Sometimes, girls who are very athletic with low body fat get it later. They say it can take till you are 16 to get it and that is still considered normal (but most get it by the age of 14). Nowadays, girls are getting it younger and youger than even when I was a girl. They say it might be because of the artifical hormones used to grow food (especially meat?) I definitely wouldn't worry if I were you.

Are you very athletic? That can sometimes delay it. My sister was a high level gymnast, and didn't get her period until like age 15 or 16.
I wouldn't worry at all. You'll have it eventually.

Oh, hunny, you're 13! Come on, some people don't get them when you're 16! And believe me you should enjoy not having them! My mam had a hysterectomy last year and I was raging that she was going to not have her period anymore and I demanded one... didn't get my way though. Trust me, they'll come in time... and you'll be counting down the days to the menopause!!! Only messing, you'll be grand.

No big deal, we're all different. If you haven't gotten it by 15 or so you ought to go get checked out, but not starting your period at 13 is pretty normal.

Accuse them of "precocious puberty".
There are lots of hormone-like chemicals in the modern world which could be speeding them up.
On the other hand, a lean diet, heavy exercise, etc. may slow others down.
Do not worry.
