Should be ok. You're taking your time driving so everything sounds a-ok. I would make sure you know of any hospitals on the way (just in case) and when you get there. Have a safe trip!

Oh sweetie. You won't be going anywhere at 35 weeks pregnant OR when the baby is 6 weeks. 7 hour drive in an overloaded hot car and only three stops on the way? No way no how. Just not realistic and I would really not recommend you even try. Think of it this way: if you have two options and all you can think of is to figure out which option would be "less stressful, hot, miserable" don't you think that BOTH options are probably way too stressful hot and miserable to go by the name 'vacation'? A vacation is supposed to be fun and relaxing. If you foresee that it won't be fun and relaxing, don't go. If I were you I would gleefully wave bye-bye to the family as they drove off in June and enjoy the heavenly vacation of being comfortably at home by myself for one last time before the baby comes.

I went on a 7 hour ride the day before I had my daughter. Make stops about every hour and a half, drink water, pee and walk around.
When you stop for the night, make sure you are aware of where the hospital is. For the matter you might want to locate a few hospitals along the route you plan on taking, just to be completely prepared. You never know when that bugger plans on making an enterance!

It's perfectly safe to drive or ride in a car a long ways when you are that far along. But I would stop probably every hour for a few minutes so you can stretch your legs. That far in pregnancy your circulation to your legs is already limited and sitting for a long time won't help. Stretching every hour or so will help prevent blood clots and can help with back pain as well. And know where the hospitals are all along the way and at your destination, you never know.

I think it's just fine, however two suggestions. Take a break for 1/2 hour after 2 hours (you want to avoid blood clots by moving around) and also take note of hospitals along your route just in case. Check with your doctor before you go as well. Sometimes they rule it out. Road vibration does cause problems for some women, but generally, they already have a high risk pregnancy.

I think anything before 36 weeks of pregnancy is ok but it's always good to check with the doctor first. Be prepared and know that it's a possibility you COULD go into labor at any point and you might be stuck giving birth at a hospital out of town.
I think it will be fine though. 35 weeks is relatively early and you shouldn't have any problems not going into labor.

I did some traveling too when I was 35 weeks pregnant. My doctor said it was fine. I think the they're more concerned if your further on like within your last two weeks. If you decide to go, just make sure you stop and stretch your legs if you start to get uncomfortable to prevent leg swelling.
congratulations!

They tell you not to tavel being that far along becuase the baby is full term and you can have him at anytime. I would ask the dr. But i would say if you are breaking it up in 2 days it would be ok just be safe because the baby could come anytime.

i traveled to nebraska from kansas every weekend until about 2 weeks before i was due... ask your doc at your next appointment. more than likely he will say yes, just remember to stop every few hours and walk around so that your blood circulates better, and to drink plenty of water. i also suggest a small pillow to put behind your lower back if it gets sore. that always helped me when i was in the car.

my doctor told me not to go anywhere in my last month of pregnancy. 8 hours really isnt that far, you leave at 6 you get there at 2pm. so if you are prepared to mabie have your baby where you are going, it will be fine. you just always have to be prepared!!!
