geez his team sucks.

I wouldn't do it though. Every time Kitna and CJ hook up its going to be paydirt for you

I wouldn't do that deal. Kitna is your starter and better than either Rivers or Favre, either guy would be a backup on your team. Calvin Johnson will eventually be your #3 WR if he isn't already Your #3 WR is especially important if you play 3 WRs.

Even on Kitna's bye week (6), the Chargers are playing the Raiders. The Raiders had the #1 Pass Defense in the league last year. The Raiders wont be able to score enough to force San Diego into the air.

btw, replace Harrington. Looking like he'll lose the job soon.

The guy should be slapped for offering this to you. There is no way I would get rid of Calvin Johnson for Phillip Rivers.
Cal is going to be the number 1 reciever in Detroit by the end of the month and will get between 60 and 100 yards every week. He is a monster and has already shown that he can compete in the NFL.
Phillip Rivers is a decent QB but he comes from a "run first" offense. For every 1 good game he gets you, Johnson will register 5.
Besides, Kitna should be starting on your roster over him anyway. You'll be giving up one of your big recievers for a back up QB.
Not even close.

Keep what you have... drew brees will get you enough points for what you lack in WR's. I think you have 2 solid recievers, and calvin johnson, who has the talent to be this year's Colston (except johnson is expected to do well). And in my opinion, unless you have the Manning/Harrison or Manning/Wayne QB/WR combo, you do not want to venture too freely into having a starting WR and QB from the same team... if the QB has a bad game, then the reciever by default is going to have a bad game, so i would stay away from the kitna/johnson combo

I would trade him for Rivers personally. Top QB's are usually harder to find than top WR's. Calvin Johnson has insane skills, but he's not even a starter on Detroit yet. He's like 3rd of 4th on their WR depth chart.

But if he's really after Johnson, I'd make a couple more offers to see what you can get thrown in. Like try throwing in a RB like Betts with Johnson and getting Rivers along with Alexander.

See if he'll overpay.

If you have Kitna, keep Johnson. Calvin Johnson will be an allstar. Quality double-dipping points.
DO NOT TRADE CJ!

Take Rivers now!!!!
His stock dropped slightly after the first game, but that was against the Bears D.

He is the perfect Buy Low candidate.

If LT is having a bad game, Rivers will have more passing yards and an elevated game. It seems like a good idea to me.

I would do it only if he threw in a receiver. Burress isn't going to be good for at least a month since Eli is going to be out for that long.
