The best Special Forces operators in the world have not succeeded.
Since liberals flap their gums, should we send the highly trained YA liberals to get the job done? Surely they are more skilled in these areas than our own forces....
YA liberals obviously are better trained in military matters since all they do is criticize. How bout it libs, can you get the job done?

That is an excellent idea Scubadog35. Now if we could just get them out of their mother's basements and off drugs maybe the army WILL let them help.

Okay, 20 year vet here. First, the libs never wanted us to go to Afghanistan in the first place, remember? It would be a disaster since the Mujahadeen had defeated the Soviets... etc. etc. While they were voting for it, they were railing against the Commander in Chief just as they are doing now. No difference.
Now THAT being said, even if they don't know what they're talking about, they are right on one thing: The Prez failed to capture Bin Laden, but not by bungling but by politics.
Bush made the mistake of trying to appease people and deflecting what would be the anticipated criticism should we experience casualties (ala Clinton who chose to bomb civilians in Bosnia instead of letting our troops handle it like the Croatians did) by forming a coalition with the Afhan warlords which wasn't a bad idea in itself.
The problem was that when we had Bin Laden surrounded in Tora Bora, we didn't just go right in and we used the war lords to guard the escape routes. Fear of casualties led to this bad decision which I know won't be repeated.
Now I will criticize my President on the Tora Bora failure because it is justified but one mistake does not mean that he's totally messed up and it doesn't warrant trashing him or disrepecting him & the whole military like the libs are doing.
If libs held their own leaders to the standards that they hold President Bush, they would've run Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Murtha, Dean, Kerry, Kennedy, Gonzales, Rangel, Franks, etc out of the country years ago.
So yeah, send them in and see how they can do it.

I don't believe anyone thinks it will be an easy task. This administration has fired anyone who has made any suggestions for catching him that didn't include attacking Iraq. We withdrew from Afghanistan when we had him cornered there. We attacked Iraq which made no sense because they did not have anything to do with him. I guess the Bush Administration felt they knew better than the best military minds in the country at the time. Go figure.
And the only one "flapping their gums" about what they don't know about is you, pal (this is sarcasm since you don't recognize it.)

I think that if we sent in the ARMY to find Osama instead of Saddam...
we would have him by now...
it's FAR too large of an area for special forces... as we've basically proven for 6 years...
why didn't you just send in special forces to get Saddam? OH THAT'S RIGHT, BECAUSE YOU CARED IF YOU CAUGHT SADDAM...
I thought it was about taking personal responsibility? Bush promised to catch him...
tell you what... give me 100,000 soldiers... I bet I will bring you his head in under a year...
EDIT: what kind of magical powers do you think he has? you sound like you're afraid to go after him? we've had like 1,000 troops trying... special forces is a small unit... in a huge area...
anyone with a brain can see that most likely won't get the job done unless they just get lucky and stumble across him...
why wouldn't it work to send more troops in... how about that? and how would it not be better to put more people on it?

As a Democrat, we have no political agenda to capture him. We just want to surrender to him and get out of Iraq. There is nothing to be gained by fighting further, Hillary made a mistake when she voted for the war. She did not have ALL of the facts. This is not a first for her. stay tuned. She let Bill screw around at home and never found out until she read it in the news.

Somtimes I wonder if Bush & cast of co-horts don't want to capture OBL because in that scenario, he couldn't always use the terrosts threats in his favor. The war should have been over after they captured Hussein but then again, they shoukld have never went to Iraq in the first place.

No,Bush and his Neocon administration should have let "The best Special Forces operators in the world " to use your terminology do their job instead of diverting attention because they had an obsession with Iraq.
In his book—titled "Jawbreaker"—the decorated career CIA officer criticizes Donald Rumsfeld's Defense Department for not providing enough support to the CIA and the Pentagon's own Special Forces teams in the final hours of Tora Bora, says Berntsen's lawyer, Roy Krieger. (Berntsen would not divulge the book's specifics, saying he's awaiting CIA clearance.) That backs up other recent accounts, including that of military author Sean Naylor, who calls Tora Bora a "strategic disaster" because the Pentagon refused to deploy a cordon of conventional forces to cut off escaping Qaeda and Taliban members. Maj. Todd Vician, a Defense Department spokesman, says the problem at Tora Bora "was not necessarily just the number of troops."

The Bush administration has concluded that Osama bin Laden was present during the battle for Tora Bora late last year and that failure to commit U.S. ground troops to hunt him was its gravest error in the war against al Qaeda, according to civilian and military officials with first-hand knowledge

Two months after 9/11, late November 2001, Bush distracted our top military commanders from the hunt for Bin Laden with rushed plans for a new war in Iraq. This shifted their focus at a critical moment, when we had Osama cornered at Tora Bora. The facts now show that it helped Bin Laden escape. The details are all public information.

They would more than likely join Osama's "Caravan of Martyrs"...my question is why didn't the Liberal Hero Billy Bob get him when he had the chance...that would have saved thousands of lives...but they will duck that question...it's not like OBL just popped up on the scene on 9/11...he had been around a while a was killing Americans way before then...

It seems odd to me that Al Jazeera seems to know where he is at any given moment. Are you sure that Bush WANTS him found? If he is found, Bush loses his grip of fear and his power source over the American people. Make people scared enough and they will do anything you want. I think we should send YOU to get the job done. You are all full of spit and vinegar and love Bush so much. Put your own butt on the line for your Prez.
