Ive got a tzr 125 1989 and am desperately looking for some touch up paint to cover the dinks and rusty bits (that's pretty much the whole bike then..!)
Its the blue version (the other was red and white) with small yellow stripes to the tank etc.
Im searching high and low for some paint stockists, even for the paint codes (as Halfords say they can try to match it if they have the code) but having squat diddly luck at the moment.
Any ideas?? Thanks!

try this place I would imagine that either the owners manual or the vin number has it. If you can find out how to read the Vehicle Identification Number codes.

Yamaha don't do paint codes as such. They rely on names. eg deep midnight blue.

Best bet would be to take a small panel to a paint distributors and have them match it.

Honda however do (in case there are honda riders who dispute my answer), this is found on a white sticker about 2 inches long, usually under the seat or sidepanel. The code would look similar to R2 -11 which usually means a shade of red.

6 gears on a 50cc? you may desire to spend the full time changing, which would be like a equipment for each 5mph. Yamaha is one down 5 up. You constructive there are six gears? you do no longer count quantity the neutrals you realize ;-)

There should be a metal plate somewhere with loads of codes on. One of these will be the colour code.

Don't rely on Halfords staff though as the monkeys would have got mine wrong if I hadn't spotted their mistake!!

Best to speak to Yamaha and ask what format the code will be in so you can recognise it from the others.

Good luck :)

Ask or phone a yamaha dealership and they will be able to tell you the actual colour and/or code for the bike. then they can probally order you some, or as you said halfords to match it.

If it is so ratty looking why not respray the whole bike the color of your own choice. The result will at least be individual.
