Well, the last drive looked like some pretty good offense, like Smith finally figured out what Arizona was doing, Arizona didnt let up either, they blitzed him during the last drive like they did during the whole game, its hard to be effective when getting blitzed every play. I felt like the defense of the 49ers was very sound. Rookie Patrick Willis had 9 tackes and a forced fumble. 4 corners made great plays, Clements, Harris, Spencer and Hudson who came up with a great play in the 4th quarter. I don't think many offenses will do well against the Niner Defense. Leinart sucks compared to Smith. Leinart plays like an old quarterback with no experience. If Warner had played, the Cardinals would have won. Thank God he didnt play! The issue with Gore was the play calling, they kept running behind the right side of the line, where they should have been runnning Gore behind Jonas Jennings and Larry Allen, look for that to be a difference in the following
weeks
Tim, you are wrong, the O-line for the Niners is sound, they just need to run the ball on the left, on the touchdown run the reverse around the left side, the left side of the O-line held its blocks. The Cardinals o-line is GARBAGE
Davidsfa, I don't know what game you watched but the Niners held those weapons(fitzgerald and boldin) to 7 receptions for 42 yards. the 49ers have good D, they will be able to shut any team down just watch!

That was an ugly ugly win and I'm going to say it was more of bad offense than great defense. The Cardinals' opening drive of the second half was almost comical. The 49ers offense showed in the last 3 minutes of the game that they did in fact know how to play football and finally decided to do so.
With that being said I was still surprised by both defenses, especially the 49ers and Patrick Willis. I think both of these teams are going to be better this year than a lot of people think. A lot of week one games across the league were sloppy, I saw few that weren't. So of course as the season goes on teams will get better and that sloppiness will disappear and we'll be able to get a better read of talent. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when these two teams meet again in November, it should be an interesting season.

It was a bit of both actually. The QB''s were hooooorible! They both have weapons to give the ball, especially Leinert. The running game wasnt up to par either even though they are both supposed to have good Backs in James and Gore. These would suggest good defense but come on, neither defense is any good. That sorry SF D-line is useless and SF has nothing. if Im forced to go with one I would have to go with not bad but Deplorable, Inconceiveably Poor Offense. Both offenses should play much better, especially against these bad defenses.

Houston's protection has been underrated. This grow to be one group i grow to be happy to no longer face final year. universal, they have greater sized adult adult males than the Lakers do. The protection grow to be so solid that we depended too plenty on the tre's. BQ: Lakers BQ II: i've got confidence this is going to for the Lakers. they're questioning championship or bust. this ought to coach the Lakers to no longer be so reliant on the 2d 0.5 surge. BQ III: sure they're going to. i've got confidence Lamar Odom could have a solid interest there. BQ IV: i think of the Lakers ought to play protection to establish their offense. BQ V: probable plenty. Any interest the Lakers lose will awaken the haters. EDIT: some people are not giving credit to the Rocket protection. there is been assorted point out of the Laker's threes. the reason the Lakers sucked on the three grow to be through Rocket's protection. they extraordinarily plenty closed the lane, and forced us to shot from a techniques.

The O-lines were awful for both teams.
A tell-tell sign of bad football is penalties. Good teams normally don't commit many penalties. There was a flag on the field the whole game.

Bad offense. You don't see that ugly of offense just because the D is good.

It was one of those games where whichever team sucks the least wins. Both teams looked pretty sorry.
