The combined total mass in grams of a beaker and pure water is 95.175g

1. Density = mass/volume, but you need to know mass of beaker.
2. Same formula
3. Specific Gravity (SG) = Density of liquid / Density of water
1.75 = (m / 257mL) / 1g/mL
1.75 = m / 257 (1g) (cancel out mL)
(1.75)(257)(1g) = m
m = 449.75g
4. I think if you weigh each metal and place each one in a set volume of water, then you can determine its density, since Density = mass/volume.

1) 95.175ml
2) volume=mass * density, density=mass/volume= 4.75/6.2=0.766g/mL

3)mass=257/1.75=146.857gms
4)lead has higher density than aluminium. take aluminium block preffereably cuboidal. we can get idea of volume from it's dimensions. weight it on a scale against a beaker containing water. we know the density of water to be 1gm/mL. knowing the volume of water from the dimensions of beaker. we get to know the volume of water & hence it's mass. thus density of aluminium can be calculated since we know the mass of water equals mass of aluminium on a weighing scale.

Density = Mass / Volume.

1. you have to know the mass of the beaker, subtract it from 95.175g. the difference is the mass of water, then divide by 1g/mL and there's your volume.

2. divide 4.75g with 6.2mL

3. mulitiply 1.75 by 257

Find mass of beaker, subtract it from 97.175g and
v=m/D
2.D = M/V
