It is my favorite night too.
I usually get bits of costumes and put it together to make a famous scientist. I went as Einstein for a while. I want to be Marie Curie this year. I ask friends if they want to come with me to trick-or-treat, because I learned it is safer to do so.
After I trick-or-treat, I eat some candy and watch a replay of "Hocus Pocus" on Disney Channel. If there is any other Halloween event close by the house, I am more than pleased to go.
Why Halloween? Halloween gives a spooky atmosphere. It gets dark quickly. There is a full moon. The night air is chilly. It is perfect for scaring people.
My family made a suggestion to go to The Queen Mary this year. It is rumored to be haunted as it used to be a luxurious ship and a war ship at some point. I took pictures there and some eeire results took place in the pictures.
If you live any where near Los Angeles, I would recommend going there for Halloween.

Well, what we USED to do for Halloween, before all the liability crap cancelled it, was to go on a hayride at a local animal farm--lots of dark, winding roads around there. After the hayride we'd come back to the picnic area and have a bonfire with cocoa and smores and gingerbread and cider....
Now we pretty much stay home and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

I may have parties to attend the week before, depending on the year. THE big night I will either spend at home quietly or with family/friends as things work out.
It is fun to mix the festivities of modern times with thoughts of what the evening ment in the past.
Probably loads of cakes, sweets will be shared all round up to and on the eve.

I love it! I make gooey pumpkin cake and have friends over one day on the nearest weekend for treats like witch-hat cookies and ghostly pudding cups. I hang up spooky lights. This year I want to take my son on a hayride. We carve pumpkins and roast the seeds. On Halloween night the whole family dresses up and we sit on the porch to hand out candy and take turns taking the kids around. It's so much fun, I can't wait!
What do you like best?

my son who is autistic is terrified of people dressed up and masks so i cannot go out with him and i cannot open the front door for trick or treaters. his sisters can't even get dressed up so i try to get him to bed a bit earlier and i turn the lights off and me and the girls sit around with a candle and i tell ghost stories and the more scary they are the better. this year though his sisters are going to a party so they will have some fun for once on Halloween.

I'm scared to death of ghost, goblins & freddie! So I try to make Halloween as fun as possible. I have a costume party every year & give out prizes. Were having our party Nov. 3, @ the farm & going to campout, it's going to be GREAT. We have a haunted house & I grow pumpkins & decorate as much as possible. We have hay rides, hot coco & a lot of food! I always make my own costume this year i think I'm going to be a puppy (mans bestfriend). Then everyone gets drunk & party.

I love to decorate for halloween. Unfortunately, I always have to work that night doing inventory. It sucks!

It's my favourite also.
I decorate inside and out. I have a fog machine, grave yard, and other tings. I always dress up , usually as a witch, and give out candy. I watch scary movies all night.
I always make a scary dish for dinner. Usually it's eyeballs and worms in red sauce.(spaghetti and meatballs) with ghost toast(garlic bread in the shape of ghosts)
