Hi Jack!

The eclipse is now over. The last of it ended at 10:36 this morning (Tuesday, September 11) Eastern Time. And it was never visible from Canada, or from anyplace in the Northern Hemisphere for that matter.

Parts of northern and far eastern Canada will get to the solar eclipse on August 1, 2008, however. Some parts of your Arctic coast will even see a total eclipse of the sun that morning.

Likewise the partial eclipse of June 1, 2011. And November 3, 2013. And there's another that will be widely seen in western Canada the late afternoon of May 20, 2012.

The next total eclipse that will be widely seen in Canada is the one on the afternoon of April 8, 2024, which will be total in southern Ontario, southern Quebec and much of the Canadian maritime provinces.
