hey, I am a steeler fan and I feel sorry (but not so much) for the Browns. In a very competitive division (until recently because before at least 2 teams sucked very bad, Browns included), having a weak spot is bad and if that weakness is your QB, you are done for the season.
I think Frye is going to get cut but there are many teams looking for young arms such as Atlanta, KC and Miami, who can keep learning and provide a "decent" arm behind:
1. Another good, proven QB
2. A good OL (which is a key). something not many teams can provide now.
This is the same situation the Texans lived with David Carr: many sacks (yes, the OL was not as good as it is now but he was just a second slower than most of the good QB's), many mental mistakes, good arm and charm but not a winning spirit.
The Browns will have better chances to succeed if they take this season to make Quinn to learn the NFL than giving the ball to Anderson... and they need a proven veteran to help on that....

Sorry for posting late. Didn't see this post. Anyhow, I think this is awesome news. I did want Charlie to do well ever since we drafted him, since he is a hometown boy and all. But it just doesn't seem to want to work. I am hating all the people that say, "Oh yeah, ruin another potentially great QB by throwing him into the fire.", because him and Couch are two totally different caliber guys. I am sure Brady will take some sacks, but he will also get rid of the ball when he should. I bet we start DA this week, and if he is doing shitty, Romeo will throw in the Kid. I am pumped now, hell yeah. Go Browns, Go Tribe.

I'm seeing Cut.. I doubt really seriously if anyone is that desperate for a QB. I truly believe that Frye was a stop gap until Quinn was truly ready. I see week 3 or 4.. Johnson is going to have to be the man. Quinn is going to have to grow up quick

Great...Not that Frye was the answer, but we're about to embark on the murder of yet another young, promising quarterback. Quinn does not need to be tossed in to this cluster we call playing football this season. There goes another perfectly good first round pick. Correction, two first round picks.

It's being reported on both WTAM 1100 am and WKYC Channel 3 that Charlie has been traded, although it doesn't appear they have named the other team yet.

The Browns.... with everyone chanting for Brady Brady Brady... My friend saw a girl at a bar and called her a Cleveland Browner, I asked what that meant. He said Nice Uniform, Ugly Helmet.
