Synthetic oils lubricate quicker, even in COLD weather when vehicle has to sit out, don't break down as quickly, reducing sludge and sustain higher underhood temps of todays engines. Costs more, but if you keep your vehicles for a couple hundred thousand mi. it is wellll worth it.
Will not hurt to put in at first oil change and will NOT void any warranty

Synthetic provides a better lubrication. But in my opinion it may not be needed in normal circumstances. I have many customers that do regular oil changes and have had no issues at all. As a matter of fact I havent seen an oil related engine failure in years. Modern engines have terrific fuel control that reduces contaminates in engine oil. Better to use synthetics in differentials and transmissions in my opinion. Just because you use synthetics dosent mean you should go longer between oil changes. Contaminates still build up in synthetic oils too.

The advantages are so great that Ford routinely installs Motorcraft synblend synthetic mix oil now in all their oil changes for the same price as they always charged! It's a great deal and they use a Motorcraft oil filter of course. About $23 on one of their service promotions.

synthetic supplies a techniques much less positioned on and greater powerful protection(0 sludge) against sludge, a cold air intake in simple terms wastes gas , do no longer use thinner than 5-40 synthetic in an engine that age except you reside close to the canadian border, amsoil, mobil and valvoline are all solid makes

The main advantage is that synthetics don't breakdown as quickly as regular oil. Meaning it maintains its viscosity longer and does not deposit at much residue inside the engine, meaining the engine will last longer. The extra cost is well worth it.
