Is it easy to make a stamp.. something to make a ink impression mark on paper.. or can I buy something that looks good cheap from somewhere?

I just serviced my own car (got the factory manual) and i'd like a good looking stamp in the service book. I've got the bills to backup the fact I bought the materials for the service itself (spark plugs, 5L oil, air filter, oil filter, lithium grease ect).

I considered it might be quite possible to make a replica of the VW service stamp.. but that would be a bit, well, out-of-order to do that. Also I don't know how to make a stamp.

Thanks.

You've got it wrong.... I want a stamp in the book... any kind of cool looking "DIY SERVICE" type stamp.

I just said the other thing to suggest that the system is pretty easily open to fraud.... for the prices the dealers charge it should be a gold plated stamp in the book.

And I have no warranty on a 5 year old car.

If your trying to pretend a dealer serviced it then where will a potential buyer find a receipt for the service????? If its to keep up a good history of the car then be honest write in it, self serviced but then accompany that with your receipts, notes, of what you did and dates and pictures of the work you carried out. (how do you know the dealer has really changed the oil/filter etc anyway)

Only the garage that carries out the service will and can stamp the service record book. No garage will stamp the book unless the full list of items requiring service have been done.

Trying to pass off that the service book has been stamped by a garage is fraud, not worth the risk

You've voided the car warrantee by servicing it yourself, and now you're trying to forge the dealer stamp in your book.

Who are you intending to fool? Just sign and date the service book
