This is my second month off the pill (I was on it for about 2 years), and both months I haven't shown the normal ovulation signs that I did before going on the pill, like cervical mucus. I have had normal cycles though, so I'm just wondering how long it takes to kick the ovulation back into gear! I know it's only been two months, so I'm not worried or anything, but it's a little frustrating feeling like we don't even have a shot! :)

Just to clarify, I've had regular periods still, I'm just pretty sure I'm not ovulating.

It'll take a while for your body to regulate. Just be patient you'll be ovulating in no time. Enjoy it while you can..

Did you have regular periods before going on the pill? I didn't ovulate regularly at all after going off the pill, and it turns out I had PCOS that the pill was "masking", so I needed to use fertility drugs to get me to ovulate. GIve it another month or two, and them talk to your doctor, they can give you a pill to induce your period, then you'll have a clean slate to work with and hopefully your periods will start coming on a regular basis after that. Good luck

It can take 3 months for the hormones to be out of your system, and then a little while longer for your natural hormones to regulate. I wouldnt stress over it. Your signs of ovulation will change too, since you've been on the pill a while,. Your body naturally changes on its own.

You can ask your Dr to send you for a blood test after the 21st day of your cycle to check your progesterone levels to see if you ovulated...if you aren't ovulating you can ask your Dr about a low dose of clomid to get it restarted for you.
