Totally safe. Use it in my own garden, and my plants produce more. Its just a concentrated fertilizer.

We have used fertilizer granular and water soluable in our garden for over 40 years. What do you think is used on the vegetables you buy in the supermarket--fertilizer unless it's organic. A couple of years ago I watched a show where the took organic grown veggies and those grown with fertilizer and there was no difference between the 2 in nutrients. Fertilizer just gives the plants the food to grow with. It does put a bit of salts in the soil but not enough to do anything when used in moderation. It's the pesticides and fungicides that can put bad things in the food grown. Luckily there are products on the market now that are green and there are many home remedies that work so we don't have to use the bad stuff

The reason Miracle Gro works at all as a sprayed fertilizer is that it is extremely soluble in water. The same reason your plants can absorb it from foliar feeding is why a good rinse should wash it right off.

Applying heat to the chemicals in Miracle Grow is unlikely to denature it into anything you'd want to eat, so I wouldn't rely only on cooking.

I've never heard anything negative about eating produce grown with Miracle Grow. It's like a lot of other fertilizers. I'd just wash the veggies well first.

I have always used it & my family & I are still alive & healthy! =)
It isn't as potent as some of those commercial fertilizers that farmers use in their fields... we still eat those veggies/fruits, right?
