consider it a win?

It is quite obvious by thier classless smearing of General Petraeus that they can not and will not accept any good news from the war on terror. They have invested themselves in defeat. As if we didn't know this for a long time now. You hear it in all their leaders.... "we can't win... we will never win.... we need to pull out now".

Is failure the motto of the democratic party?

I don't know about you... but I really get inspired when I hear my leaders or mentors say... "Now lets get out there and LOSE!"

Outcrop... this will be difficult for you as it requires the application of "common sense". Where would you rather fight a war? On your soil or on their soil? (on their soil...) Now, if you are fighting them on their soil... far away from your soil it stands to reason your people are much safer on our soil. Lets take it a step further... Why do you suppose they are so hell bent on keeping us out of Iraq? Could it be because our success there would be crippling to their area? (the answer is yes) We have gone on the offense... and when you are on the offense, your "goalie" or home soil is safe from any opposing actions.

So, how is it not working again? I still don't see where you have provided any proof that we were attacked.

I'll wait though.

That is a great question, they probably could, it's amazing how the Democrats all the sudden decided their politics are more important than their country, so much that they are willing to talk bad about the country to other countries, and they are telling the people that are fighting for us and them that they aren't going to win. If I were a soldier busting my a$$ I would be mad, that a senator was saying my efforts aren't good enough.

genuinely no longer. The Republicans could have a *lots* harder time garnering customary help after this election than the Democrats will. whether the Democrats lose the presidency, they are going to likely administration the two the Senate and the residing house of Representatives. they at the instant are not going everywhere, believe me.

Nooooo. Its only good when AMERICA or our TROOPS lose, not LIBERALS!!! Liberals NEED to win. Fickle things like American unity and pride, our troops, national security, are of little and/or secondary concern.

Failure will be the motto of anyone that advocates things like subjective morality, abortion, and the idea of gay marriage. None of those things are Godly or American and true Americans wont stand for it.

I am waiting for the DNC to wake up and see how Soros and moveon.org has been nothing but costing the DNC votes.

With their help they got Bush reelected with a majority.

Who got elected in 06 more moderate Democrats and cost them a loyal one Liberman.

Oh well since they have invested in the failure of our troops they will get their just reward.

So what is "Victory" in Iraq and how has this done anything to improve our security from terror?

Come to think of it, with $450 billion, we may have been able to improve port security, border patrol and coast guard, hire more intelligence and police personnel and guard sensitive domestic targets... Instead, we have an absolute debacle in Iraq with no end in sight and terrorists have, by all official accounts, increased in number.

Please tell me, specifically, how Iraq is in any way connected to the potential for domestic terror. Your smug non-sequitor has NO relevance to your question posed, much less towards the realities we face.

I wonder how well we would be doing if we actually had the support of all of our nations leaders?

I have one of those motivational posters in my office. The quote is "You're Never Beaten Until You Admit It" and the photo above the caption is of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Very appropriate! They celebrate defeat.

Yes! because Republicans NEVER smear anybody that disagrees with them politically!!! yay GOP.

What's that? A veteran missing his arms and legs from wounds in the war was compared to Osama Bin Laden in a GOP ad? Say it isn't so!!

McCain was called soft on terrorism?!? It just can't be!!!

"In South Carolina, Bush Republicans were facing an opponent (McCain) who was popular for his straight talk and Vietnam war record....Anonymous opponents used "push polling" to suggest that McCain's Bangladeshi born daughter was his own, illegitimate black child"

No. Bush is the one invested in defeat, by not knowing how to properly plan and execute the war. No plan for the insurgency, no exit strategy, just never ending death and destruction, I'd say he's defiantly a defeatist.
