Yes it does and this is how,Your body responds to the way you think, feel and act. This is often called the “mind/body connection.” When you are stressed, anxious or upset, your body tries to tell you that something isn’t right. For example, high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer might develop after a particularly stressful event, such as the death of a loved one. The following may be physical signs that your emotional health is out of balance:
Back pain
Change in appetite
Chest pain
Constipation or diarrhea
Dry mouth
Extreme tiredness
General aches and pains
Headaches
High blood pressure
Insomnia (trouble sleeping)
Lightheadedness
Palpitations (the feeling that your heart is racing)
Sexual problems
Shortness of breath
Stiff neck
Sweating
Upset stomach
Weight gain or loss
Poor emotional health can weaken your body's immune system, making you more likely to get colds and other infections during emotionally difficult times. Also, when you are feeling stressed, anxious or upset, you may not take care of your health as well as you should. You may not feel like exercising, eating nutritious foods or taking medicine that your doctor prescribes. Abuse of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs may also be a sign of poor emotional health.

Yeah, definitely. If I'm stressed out, one of two things happen: I either lose my appetite profusely or I overindulge in food. You can imagine what effects those two have on the body. You can also become weak or fatigued, lose sleep, etc. When I'm happy, I either feel stronger or relaxed. The situation which I am in also has a say in it.
They also say if you believe yourself to be sick well enough, you will get sick, or if you think you'll better in health, you will. That has been the case of a few cancer patients.

When you get too stressed... and you're brain gets frustrated with trying to relieve the pressure, but has no luck... it causes physical pain in the body.
Stress also raises blood pressure, causes hypertension, makes you tighten and strain your muscles, etc. etc. etc.
my back is killing me right now, and its all stress related.

Unfortunately it does - when i am sad or down i don’t like to go to the gym, wait, come to think about it, when i am really happy i don’t like to go to the gym! Anyway, it does. When i am in an upbeat nice mood i like to be active with my kids and when i am mad or bummed out i like to complain around the house and lay on the couch.
And i tend to have more headaches and body aches when i am bummed out.
