Apollo 15, 16 and 17 all spent about three days on the lunar surface. Each lunar module had a crew of two. Dave Scott and Jim Irwin of Apollo 15 spent three days near Hadley Rille in the lunar module 'Falcon' in July 1971, John Young and Charlie Duke spent three days in the lunar module 'Orion' in the Descartes region of the Moon in April 1972, and Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt spent three days in the Taurus-Littrow valley in December 1972 in their lunar module 'Challenger'.

I saw an interview with Gene Cernan (Apollo 17) who said that they viewed their mission as living on the Moon for 3 days. They even drove a car to work, the Lunar Rover.
This stuff all happened in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Except in this ridiculous forum, it is well-established historical fact.

Yes, you've probably missed it... I think it was back in 1974... or 72... the Apollo 17 mission. They stayed there for al little over 3 days...
Seen on TV at the time.. I was only 12 or 13.
After the Apollo Missions, no man we know of has travelled to the moon. So... their record still holds!
