The negative absolute value of -2 would be -2, (since the aubsolute value of -2 is 2, the neg. one would be -2!)

Edit: I love extra credit. The reason why the answer is -2 is because -(-2)=2 and even if it was -2, the absolute value would have made it positive anyways. Then the - in front of the absolute value makes it a negative again. Does this mean I have a brain? :)

First you solve -(-2). this will be +2 because -ve X -ve is positive. Even if you put | | will not change the value. It will be 2 only. Then you put -ve again. So it is -2 only.
