2. Support of same-sex marriages.
3. Against the death penalty.
4. For the closely monitored use of medical marijuana, but not for legalizing it otherwise.
5. On immigration: providing a way for illegal immigrants who are found to be productive in society and clearly are not terrorists to achieve citizenship. And to allow an increase in immigrants who are trying to escape from terrible conditions. But of course, all this must be done without increasing the chances of allowing terrorists to enter.
6. For the Patriot Act.

Obviously, it matters very much where the candidates stand on these issues, because the president most certainly has a say on these issues. They can sign or not sign a partial birth abortion ban. They can seek to redefine marriage as between a man or a woman, etc. So it does matter. I'm not sure what your point is.
