you're correct, Eric. and pressure can be a great motivator. Along with that comes procrastination............the ability to put off things until pressure finally kicks in. Sometimes I think we get so tied to timetables, deadlines, and objectives, that we have to take a moment and just breathe. Which is why, when there is a lot of free time, we want to just do nothing and let our brains and bodies recuperate.
Oh, how is Singapore working out? Well, I hope. Later, Eric.

Hello Eric, this is so true.
And I totally agree with your summation; it is all about the pressure.
When I'm swamped with work, I work longer hours to get it done. Oddly, I work very efficiently under the pressure of a deadline.
When I have less work I let it go till the very last moment.
But this is okay, these are days when I relax and take time to myself; we all need that occasionally.

If you have 10 hours to do a 10 minute job, you will waste 590 minutes spontaneously and perhaps another 10 minutes out of HABIT... it is so easy to postpone when there is still time left. How stupid are we!
It's the same with busy people have the most hobbies and lonely people are bored. Really strange!
I guess "stimulation" is the answer...

Nature has made human being lethargic and therefor humen beings also work under pressure. Pressure of over work com pails one to dispose off the work quickly because it also creates tent ion and at the same time one thinks that after completion of the work he will forth with relax and therefore he works to relax and not otherwise.

Because with so much free time, we take our time. When the pressure is on, we step up to the plate.

I am very agree with you. It's called "pressure". Less free time=more pressure, more freetime=less pressure... Because of that pressure, we do things...

We never have FREE time. If you don't use that time for something, we will PAY for it in the end buy not getting something else done that should have been done in the first place.

because thats human nature..!
and since people think that there's lots of time given for that particular thing to do,
they tend have more time to relax than doing the important ones...
people are fund of having pressures..!LOL

I think it is because there is a deadline to beat...
If we are on a holiday or vacation and we are running out of time, we hurry to finish our fun...
However when we have a lot of time to do something like on a weekend, we put off what we don't want to do...
Like mow the lawn or fix a project at home...
We don't want to spend time fixing things, we want to spend time being lazy and resting...

usually, and in business, the more time you have the slower you go to get the work done.
So in a case where nothing is done, I'd suspect some form of depression, or discouragement, or they are unfocused and something worrisome is holding them back.
