It's been three years since we saw this guy and he chooses now to release a video? Now that the congress is taking reports from Gen. Patraeus that could determine how soon we leave Iraq? Now that anyone who wants to leave Iraq now will seem to be echoing exactly what Bin Laden said? Doesn't it seem that if he wanted us to leave Iraq, sooner rather than later, now would be the time that he would make himself scarce? This is the guy who orchestrated the most successful attack upon the US in history and he chooses now to put out a video containing rhetoric that makes everyone who wants to leave Iraq sound just like him?

It sure does seem "coincidental"and convenient. It is almost genius.

He's just reinforcing his troops, and probably being VERY effective. I don't know why we don't use our military to hunt and track that bastard down. Bush says he's harmless, and not a threat to America as an individual. That is the furthest from the truth. That bastard inspires the enemy, and needs to be rounded up for the evil deeds that he has done. Every time he speaks, the enemy grows stronger. He is a symbol of everything wrong with that region. I cannot comprehend why Bush doesn't pursue him aggressively. I guess it's that "I'm never wrong" mentality. Bush decided not to pursue Bin Laden from the onset, and refuses to believe that pursuing him should be America's top priority.

Has it ever occurred to you that these videos seem to have very impressive timing meant to incite an emotional reaction?

If the tape is actually authentic, it's release would be heavily controlled. Media is regulated and governed. Essentially nothing hits the airways without first an FCC stamp of approval. Effectively sensitive material can be retained and released at a later date, or at will.

No, its good timing. The fact is he doesn't want us to leave Iraq. The longer there is a war in Iraq the more recruits he will get and its easier for them to attack the troops in Iraq than to attack us here.

Osama bin Laden has exquisite timing. He is a true artist in fomenting unrest in our nation.
His tape was released just in time to start more argument and dissent during and about the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist atrocity in New York.

Maybe he is a scapegoat. The governments kill their own side everyday! Thousands die of starvation we never hear about.
I think the guy died. He is on Dialysis anyway! and Now the US has got an actor to pretend to be him just to keep soldiers in IRaQ to get the oil they invaded for in the first place!
Back in 1938 America would have attacked america today as a dictatorship! They are only happy considering them selves as a super power!
And any other country that stands up to them or close to them is a terrorist.

The propaganda arm of Al Qaeda chooses carefully when to release old footage of Bin Ladin or whoever that clown is that is impersonating him. Bin Ladin has been dead for 2 years.

I think his timing was brilliant....just in time to remind us all that the reason for our heavy hearts and tears, lost friends, relatives and neighbors, and forever altered New York City skyline, is STILL here and among the living. While we mourn 9/11, he gets to taunt us and celebrate HIS GREATEST DAY ...for the 6th time...

I think he's dead. And that they are still using his image to scare us, because after all, if we knew he was dead, wouldn't that kinda help put an end to all this?
