W at the front 1 Mar to 31 August 2000.

W at the back 1Aug 1981 to 31 Jul 1982.

It all started in 1963 when the previous system was running out of numbers and year letters were introduced.

A good guide to it all is here:

click on year/registration lists.

Hi John Paul.We have new registrations on cars now they start with 2 letters at the beginning and then 2 numbers follow.I believe the letters are where the car was first registered. The new reg cars started in 2001 i think and it was 51 to celebrate england winning 5-1 against Germany lol
We didn't have any starting with i or o if thats any help.
Still not got brakes sorted but had them bled and it made a lot of difference for a while, but no luck getting pump yet!
