If u dont mind going short get a hair cut. If u dont want to lose the length then, the only other option is to trim them. If u have reasonably long hair..and a straight cut , then you can just trim the split ends off by yourself.
To prevent further breakage and split ends you can oil your hair well and wash it off an hour later. Do this atleast twice a week and you wont see as much split ends. (Olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil r some examples)

a little somthing i like to call a hair dresser get a trim every 6 weeks(thats the ONLY way to get rid of then
you can help prevent them also
All you have to do is
Get a shampoo with sun screen as a MAJOR ingredient (you can find out if its major if it is near the begining of the list!
DO NOT brush you hair when its wet if you must then use a comb not a brush!
WEAR A HAT IN THE SUN to protect against sun damage!

There are several products on the market that will help you will that. They are called Cream Rinses. Check in the shampoo isle in a pharmacy.
