No. The person is still out there and able to commit crimes. Death rids society of the unreformable.

I guess it would be better if you're not into the whole dying thing...

It would probably be messier though.

It would also hurt a lot more.

It would definitely be really cool to watch however.

Yeah, I think I'm going to stick with death penalty... I'd rather just fall asleep forever with the prick of a needle than live through the agonizing pain of having an arm or leg sawed off and then live the rest of my life like a freak (no offense to amputees)

More harsh but that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment and the ACLU would have a field day in court with that.

I just say child predators should be shot in the face.

Amputate what ?
if the punishment should fit the crime-
a thief will lose his hands...
a pedo loses his pen1s..
a liar loses his tongue...
an embezzler loses his bezzle ?

I believe the punishment should fit the crime. Rape, you know what goes. Steal: one finger steal again....... Kill someone : kill their loved one. Radical yes but fitting.
