I was watching a rerun of last seasons Heroes, and again I saw the same sign on the sword Hiro had. Has anyone else noticed it?

Yes, that symbol is seen a lot in the show, but it's never been explained what it means....

Of course, it's part of the ongoing plotline. According to Ando, they are Chinese characters that meant eternal and something else (sorry I've slept since then), but I read a spoiler somewhere that said they have other meanings that haven't been revealed to us yet. I do believe that they have something to do with the entire evolutionary process that produced the Heroes.
