I am looking for a job change in IT. I got a response from company side and it is written in the mail

"We are looking for Oracle consultant for our offshore operation in Madras, India" ----- I don't understand the meaning of this sentence in detail.

Thanks

They want someone with consulting experience, hands on Oracle experience and is bi-lingual. It really doesn't get any more simple than that.

IF you don't understand what an Oracle Consultant is, then for sure you are NOT an Oracle Consultant ...

The term 'offshore' used here by a UK Company that is operarting in India means they will expect you to relocate (ie. move) from UK (so 'offshore' from UK) and go to work in Madras.

The company is looking for a consultant (someone who knows everything) in Oracle (that's a bit blurry becuase Oracle do lots of software) and you will work in India.

I hope this is joke. I don't think that any guy would be that tacky to suggest that song. But just on the off chance this isn't a joke (God help your fiance), try another U2 song. My husband and I both love the "with or without you" by U2, but it wasn't appropiate for a first dance song. Instead, we played "beautiful day" at the end of the ceremony.

Oracle is a database management system and programming language. If you're not familiar with it, you won't get this job.
