Does anyone know if an intake air control valve from another honda/acura motor will fit a K20A3 motor. I've been told its hard to get one secondhand for a K20A3, and that no other one fits. They are pretty expensive here in NZ - around $550 I've been told. Anyone have any idea how much in the States, as I am going to LA in 10 days.

Honda uses the same part numbers worldwide. Get the part number for the IACV to start with. Once you have the part number you can have both Acura and Honda dealers in the US look up the part number and tell you what the applications are and what if any other models that valve is used on. Then you can shop the price at the dealerships or if you have the year and model information try the recyclers.

There are some US companies that specialize in Honda and Acura salvage. Here are three places you can start with to see about the availablility of a recycled part.

find someone to get you trade price, otherwise yeh its not cheap aftermarket, damn retail margns are where the big manifacturers make money...
