I had a dentist when I was a teen-ager who I swear LOVED inflicting pain...he pulled a bottom tooth and I could feel everything! he didn't give me enough novocaine and as the tears streamed down my face, he told me not to cry like a baby. I refused to pay the bill...why pay for pain? Ever since that experience, I've been afraid although I do have a good dentist. I break out in a sweat, my legs shake, they say I turn pasty white and I have a death grip on the chair. So yeah, I'm still afraid.

No. I just dislike the pain and discomfort associated with seeing the dentist.

Not afraid, but I am looking for a new one as the last one was not very nice or honest.
