We are the United Sttes of America,ok?
but why do you refer to yourselves mainly as the UK-we call you Enland or Great Britian and it seems most nations have one name. this is just about keeping me awake nights which doesn't take much with severer insomnia anyway.

I always say UK because it's just easier, England is the country I'm from, but the UK encompasses England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Island and GB is England, Scotland and Wales.

As you can no doubt see from Ms Mc Haggis above me it's a prickly subject, and we have to keep a low profile in case all the surrounding countries think we're being triumphalist or whatever. lol
Never the less I'm proud to be an 'Englander', especially after our 3-0 win against Russia in Soccer tonight. x

ENGLAND????? What about the Scots, the Irish and the Welsh, you should say UK or Great Britain, if you don;t want to insult the rest of us.

we have been known as the uk for many years now and now we joined the european section they want us to drop the great britain part good idea seeing as wales scotland and ireland want to be known in their own rights .
