Is there any way that my school can find out that i have their computeR?
Maybe if i use the schools server, or go on the internet with it and they find my IP adress connected to the computer?!

is there any way at all that they can find out i have it?
Please help me, i didnt know he stole it from my school, but it was cheap, so i got it from him ><

Yes, serial numbers on computers are registered to the original owner. What you have is stolen property. I suggest that you take it in to the local police and turn it in.If you are caught with it you can be charged with "possession of stolen property" or " receiving stolen goods" and both of these are felonies that Will stay with you and be a hindrance to you getting a lot of different types of jobs in the future. Yes, it can be tracked to you by an IP addy or by someone else recognizing the comp. Please for your sake turn it in.

Give back the computer to the guy that you solds it from, get back your money and tell the school principal about you buying and him selling so that HE can get in expelled and YOU can get rewarded for being so honest. I once found 80 bucks on the school grounds and gave it to the principal. I found out it was a teachers and I got rewarded for my honesty and not keeping that money.
