In the present materialistic world... the Kali yuga phase of life (the metal age)... the darkened forces of nature are in their peak! In the circumstances to live life happily full of contentment is possible by following the dictates of Lord Krishna in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita. The Sacred Bhagavad Gita advocates travelling the path of absolute truthfulness all the time.

Those who do not let their ego control them... live happily and contented! Mounted with wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches... human beings often cross limits of ethics and morality in life. They lower themselves into the den of vice... corruption! To keep off from such activities one should have a fixed goal in life.

Mounted with a burning desire... in a skill or career dear to our heart... something indulging in which we lose track of time one never fears anything in life! It is this control in life that leads towards happiness and contentment. Life is not a destination but a journey! It is our soul atman within that has manifested the body to work out its karma... remove the impurities within!

In the circumstances for the body... the human form to indulge in corruption and vices do not carry any meaning! We all understand that materialistic riches can never be carried to the next manifestation... only virtues get carried to next life through the complex process of karma! Why not indulge in good karma all the time and earn virtues!

Money is simply a means to an end. In the present times money has become an end in itself! Those running after riches of the ephemeral world... never remain happy! One who hears the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman and follows the dictates therein always remains happy and contented. Hearing the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman is the primary crux of life!

Only those who follow the path of absolute truthfulness distinctly hear the voice of our soul atman. The sweet small inner voice of our soul atman that seems to come from within our heart always guides us on the right path. The cosmic life belongs to the soul atman. The fruits of karma performed by human beings belong to soul atman within!

Whoever indulges in karma like a true karma Yogi... always succeeds in life! JRD Tata... a Karma Yogi par excellence believed in the fact that all human beings simply are trustees of God. Everything belongs to God Almighty. We must continue doing our karma with unattached attitude offering the fruits of our karma to God Almighty.

It is only then we keep ourselves happy and contented! King Janaka... Father of Sita in Ramayana was a karma Yogi par excellence! He lived his life never attaching self to the karma performed. Always carrying out his duties towards the country with unattached attitude... King Janaka finally gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and salvation (moksha) in his lifetime! You firt goal in life is that you must seek God First!
andGod would say your calling of your gift to serve others!

well sorry to say but you can never find Happiness and Contentment here on this world.

Gos himself allows us to feel a significant amount of discontentment and dissatisfaction in life-loningings taht will never be fullfilled, Were not Completely happy here because were not supposed to be! Earth is not our final home;we are created for something much better
You will never be satisfied on earth, because you were made for more. You live have Happy moments here, but nothinh compared with that God has planned for you

Realizing that our life here on earth is just a temporary assignment should radical ly alter values.
All that is not eternal is not eternally useless.

Bible says:
"we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"

Sometimes I jump on a calling; other times I just sort of ease on into it. It depends on what is called for: deadline-type action or the relaxation of retirement.

My happiness is in what I accomplished with the deadlines; my contentment lies in the retirement.

EDIT: Whazzup, thanks for the attention that needed to be called toward the essentials! lol

We spend our lives trying to chase happiness, but happiness will find us when we realise that we have actually been running away from it.

To be called presupposes someone who has called you, i.e. God. If you are a Christian, your first calling is to seek God.
