This report appeared in your Daily Sun on 4 September 2007. Maybe its just another "culture" you havent discovered yet.

Cops in Kuruman are hard on the heels of a man who was caught with his pants down giving a poor pregnant nanny goat a bit of hard doggie.
One can only imagine the shock when Gogo Serurubele on hearing the cries of distress coming from her goat, ran out to the kraal expecting to find someone trying to attack the goat, but instead, to her horror found a 20 year old African
holding the goat from behind and raping it..!
The poor goat was so distressed she gave birth prematurely!

The example taken from the Daily Sun is hardly a new phenomena nor one specific to Africa. Zoophilia and Zoosexuality also called bestiality and is a bizarre and perverse act. Sadly it has been with us for a very long time with no exact date as to when the first act took place. A prohibition against it is even mentioned in the Bible ( Lev 18:23 ) where God warns, " "And you shall not lie with any beast and defile yourself with it, neither shall any woman give herself to a beast to lie with it: it is a perversion." and Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism (among others) also make mention of this.

While this question attempts to paint South Africa as the only place where this occurs, it is interesting to note that, "It is legal in some countries, such as Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, while it is illegal in Great Britain (for penetrative acts), Canada, and much of the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Countries such as Belgium, Germany and Russia are in between the two as they permit sexual activity with animals but strictly prohibit the promotion of animal-oriented pornography" - Wikipedia.

Even more noteworthy is the fact that although zoophilia is illegal in the United States, a large if not the largest number of websites promoting zoophilia, originate from and are hosted in the United States.

I hope you don't mind me asking but I haven't seen race mentioned in a news article in a long time. I was under the impression that it was against the law?

Just curious

Sies. But its not just limited to south africa. A friend of mine was travelling by train in England. The train stopped for some technical reason on route for a few minutes but my friend couldn't believe her eyes when she saw a farmer in his field doing the same to a sheep.

hi, South Africa is comparatively risky and face the info: it extremely is without doubt one in all of the main deadly international places interior the international, yet many travelers nonetheless bypass to South Africa each and each year and not something occurs to them so as long as you're clever and save your wits approximately you in any respect time, stay interior the vacationer-y areas, evade disadvantaged, risky areas with severe crime and poverty, do no longer reason hardship on the streets, forget approximately pickpocketers, be self-helpful, do no longer walk everywhere on my own at any time of the day, do no longer bypass out in any respect submit 10 pm on the streets, then sure you're risk-free. There are some cities that are greater greater secure and shield than others, it purely relies upon the place in South Africa you're traveling. areas of all cities in South Africa have its disadvantaged, poverty-bothered areas the place crime is fairly severe, whether those are actually not the vacationer areas. in case you carry on with the vacationer areas, clever and don't bypass everywhere on my own, then you are risk-free. in case you will bypass to South Africa, i could recommend Cape city, a rather greater secure great vacationer city of South Africa - whether this does not recommend there are no poverty-bothered, disadvantaged, poverty-bothered, severe crime areas of Cape city - there are purely like another South African city - and you could carry on with thee comparable precautions above once you bypass to any nook of South Africa. pay attention of pickpockets - those are very undemanding interior the vacationer areas. in case you do no longer reason any hardship and get onto fights on the streets you would be nice. this is no longer approximately how risk-free the rustic is - it extremely is rather the way you act, that's amazingly significant. this is no longer as undesirable as human beings think of and interior the great vacationer cities alongside with Cape city and Johannesburg, human beings stay the 'enormous city' life and paintings to get good jobs that's why no longer absolutely everyone would be friendly and somewhat some human beings could forget approximately you and are impolite and insolent - so purely be arranged for the worst.

Not if you live in Kuruman.
The Northern Cape is a problem they have the highest rape in the country and now they have moved on to animals.
Those people need to take a long at themselve and sort out the problems in their society.

I think the authorities are aware of this all over the world. In the US state of Montana, a single man is not permitted to own sheep.

The granny's name sounds like it's made up. I don't deny that that could've happened but the story sounds unconvincing. The Daily sun is a tabloid that has headlines like "I had sex with a tikoloshi".
