I've had to change many times because some blokes keep blocking me. I don't ask bad questions or leave bad answers. Peeps just don't like me. I lost over 12 fans recently and even a few contacts. Why?

I can recognise about 5 or 6 of my favorites just by looking at their avatars .

Both, Usually their views don't change when the avatars change unless they already are suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder Syndrome.

Their avatar - I'll answer a question before I realise they've changed avatar's - or check in on my contacts, but they remain pretty much the same

I do recognize people by their avatar name, but I can't say that I keep good enough track of everyone to know when they're different.

Yes, I get used to an avatar and look for it when they are usually on.

mostly by the avatar but you Joe at least told us all & thats fine!! some times i get bored & put hats on lol for a short time

i recognize all my contacts by the yahoo sign for that...and i am good friends with almost all of them so i usually recognize them...
..and would you still recognize me if i change again? lol..
