Macy's is a high end, expensive department store. A Macy's card is the store's exclusive charge/credit card. In the consumeristic, materialistic America, most retail stores have their own store card. They use gimmicks like an extra 10% off purchase if the card is used. Or store points to add up to a free or discounted purchase. I don't use credit cards (even the two I have) and I'm not a big spender or buyer, so I don't do these things.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

chain of department stores, usually found in your average mall. Nothing too special. It really would not be considered high end.

A macy's card is a store credit card, usually higher interest then a regular Visa or Mastercard.
