Seriously. I just read an editorial about Fred Thompson in which the author goes on and on about how great it is that Fred Thompson is, in the former Senator's words, "just like you".

I don't want a president who is just like me. I'm smart, yes, but I'm not president smart. The economy, the war in Iraq, immigration, bipartisan cooperation, crime, poverty, despair ... who wants an ordinary guy making decisions for these situations?

I appreciate the value of street smarts, but when did every other type of smarts get left out? We don't need an ordinary president; we need an extraordinary one.

Honestly, who wants a president who is just like they are?

Face it there is never goin to be a President just like anyone. For one all them bastards have money... and most of them are incompotent pricks who lucked out in college. Just because someone makes the statement doesnt mean its ever gonna happen. Believe me I dont think that it is nuclear science on how the country is supposed to be lead. The truth of the matter is that most people dont know enough about the way the system is supposed to work to give a crap. So dont worry about electing a president who says hes just like you because he is definitely not. unless of course you are spineless, ruthless, and have no heart what so ever. That is waht it takes to be a world leader these days....

Fred Thompson is not smart. Nixon called him "stupid" and coming from Nixon that says something.

He is the criminal feeding Nixon information from the committee investigating Whitewater, to include telling Nixon that the Special Prosecutor had the tapes. He was also prepped to ask questions by Nixon's attorney!

Another morally bankrupt Republican! One that should have been charged!
