I believe there are too kinds of pride.. one a sort of sick(or unhealthy pride) for example if one needs help but they are too proud to admit it or accept it. The other kind of pride is a heathy one...one that says we believe we are worth it..and our opinions are worth value..(if not to anyone else but ourselves) :) ....pride holds our morals...not such a bad thing I think. Does pride have to do with forgiveness? or does forgiveness come from something higher than ourselves? Cheers Aussie , you make a very good camel by the way!

No, the advantages of having too much pride outweight the drawbacks by far.
The trick is to be able to overcome it in certain situations, such as forgiving. This is when I draw on more powerful than my pride such as what my faith dictates.

Today........I prefer to look for the other members' replies and see if i agree with someone..
I want to know if someone else thinks as I do, and luckily I see that I'm not the only thinking as i do it.
So.......Ghanouge and Mr. Cool said it better than I could have done it.
Even...Kalooka resumed it in only 1 word....

Not all the persons are the same Aussie, are all different. And being different, face things in different ways.
Each of us is an individual... we cant react as the other persons do it.

we earn the right to be proud by our achievements and those of our ancestors etc...so it is like a reward for us to be proud and putting aside our proud would be like denying our achievements altogether...I think to avoid conflicts everyone should respect other people's pride.
