For me, it's classic interchangeable pieces.
Jeans
Khakis
Black pants
Fitted blouses of different colors
Blazers
Sweaters
A-line skirts
Maybe a suit
loafers, both black and white
Golf/polo shirts
Dreessy-ish fitted Tshirts, but not too tight
Basically, most of what I have can either be dressed up or dressed down. Most of my shirts go with both my suits and my khaki shorts. I buy my clothes as cheap as possible and make sure I have at least two things with which I can wear it, and then try and keep them for as long as possible.

For casuals :
-Tank tops with basic colours (Black,White,Beige)
-Jacket---basic jean jacket, or blazer jacket
- White Button down shirt
-Jeans ---everyone needs one. Make sure to have a good jeans to flaunt your figure.
- Flat shoes
For special occasions :
- Little Black dress
- Heels
- Couple of accessories to accentuate, e.g : Capelet, shawl, bangles or cute earrings.

I'd say you need basics! Like layering tees and tanks. Also a cute pair of flats, and at least one pair of boots for this Fall & Winter.
