My wife is about 5 weeks and 3 days at the min but we're still so scared of things going wrong - can't seem to relax at all...we had 2 miscarriages this year so I suupose it's understandable...she had an appointment with her GP on Fri past who was quite happy to hear that she was nauseous and had vomitting - said it was a good sign! Have an early scan now for the 18th in the hospital so hopefully that will go ok too..she gets waves of nausia..sore boobs sometimes...gets tired very easily...feels bloated all the time and i've noticed her getting up at 5am to go pee!! Hopefully this is all normal and hopefully we'll start to relax soon! I'll keep you all posted ...

also...just wondered...does the mucus plug form around this week and if so can a woman get discharge during this time?

I know how you feel. I have suffered 2 miscarriages within 5 months of eachother. Very devastating but thankfully I am 7 weeks pregnant at the moment. I have all the symptoms apart from morning sickness and I never had morning sickness with any of my pregnancies. I still worry that something will happen but my hCG levels are rising every week so that is a good sign. Just stay positive and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Hi there,
Stress is the worst thing to do. But in your case I can see why. Try to relax a bit. The things your telling us are all normal in early pregnancy.
There are a number of good week by week web sites that will help you to know what is happening along the way. I was given a dairy called 'Pregnancy week-by-week by Sheila Kitzinger. I have to say it was one of the best gifts I received. This author has written a number of really good books.

Yes, everything she is experioencing is absolutely normal. Im sorry she's had the miscarriages. Good luck with the tests, I hope the pregnancy goes well. Yes the discharge will come as it useuflly does, maybe more heavy, but not necessarily. She'll experience soreness and vomitting, its all normal, and mostly related to morning suckness. I'm 8 weeks and feeling all those symptoms. This is my second and I can't believe how bloated I am. I already look pregnant. I wish you the best and will look forward to hearing more. I have an appointment on the 18th too so I'll be thinking of you both.
