For the Girls and the Guys. What toys were your favorite and why?

I myself loved to play with a sketchadoodle or something like that, it had a magnet pen that you would draw with. Then when you wanted to draw a new pic, you'd just slide this thing across and it would erase the pic.

My other favorite would have to be LEGOS, yeah those things were great. I used to build the coolest things without any instructions. Or at least I thought they were the coolest things at the time.

So, yeah I'm just curious what YOUR favorite toys were as a child. It should be interesting.

I had two dolls that I just adored. Took care of them like they were my own. A Chatty Cathy Doll and a Mrs. Beasley Doll. I had a steamer trunk full of barbies, skippers, kens, clothes, accessories, everything barbie. I think Mrs. Beasley was my favorite. I still have my teddy bear from when I was little. I let my granddaughter play with it. Toys aren't really toys anymore. And the thing you were talking about was an ETCHASKETCH. I still have one in my garage!!!

Raggedy Anne, Action Jackson, Matchbox cars, Dawn Dolls, and that view finder thing that looked a little like binoculars with the discs with tiny photographs on them, those were great. Walkie talkies too. All of this in the 70's.

My favorite was the Spirograph. I think that's how it was spelled. For anybody who doesn't remember those, it was a set of cogs and wheels that you used to make all kinds of intricate designs on paper. I suppose it brought out the scientist and artist in me at the same time. I wonder if they still make those?
