their Madeleine & hiding evidence, are you 100% certain that they are guilty? You are? What significant evidence/ proof against them do you have? You don't? Oh...then there might still be a 1% chance that they are innocent of murdering their Madeleine, isn't there?
And you still dare to take the high risk of making such a serious & henious accusations against them?

NOW, Would you dare to do it under your real name? In a Court of law? In the presence of witnesses?
OR would you wait for significant evidence/ proof against the McCanns before you dared to take such a step...

If you'd wait, like any decent, rational adult would, then all your accusations & insinuations here on YA are worse than just conjecture & speculation... nothing but cruel COWARDICE at its worst.

Hear Hear, Faith!

I was heartened to read this article by Colette Douglas-Home in The Herald this morning http://www.theherald.co.uk/search/display.var.1678614.0.mccanns_need_support_not_hisses_of_the_mob.php

She has written on this case at least once before and I couldn't help but agree with her then and now. She describes the evidence - as much of it as has been reported, anyway - as being "as convincing as Blair's dodgy dossier" and offers credible alternative explanations for some of the things that are being reported as "evidence" against the McCanns.

Elsewhere, I even read that one item of evidence supposedly put to Kate McCann by the Portuguese police was that a page of her Bible was crumpled, indicating that she had been reading it - the page contained a story that involves the death of a child. I hope that account is not accurate because it would be truly scary if such a thing was being offered as proof of anything.

I really have to take issue with Ladybugs77. 100% responsible, are they?

I will concede that if Gerry & Kate McCann prove to have killed Madeleine or otherwise arranged her disappearance then your statement would be correct but you seem to be suggesting that they and only they are responsible even if all they did was leave the kids unattended and someone else made Madeleine disappear. If your statement is true, there is no liability left for the person who committed a knowingly criminal act. That's illogical.

We really should wait until all the evidence is presented. We may or may not ever know what evidence they found. We are just speculating based on rumors and statements from the family.

It is suspicious....If that blood/body fluid found in the rental car and in the apartment is really a match for the little girl, it's over.

I realize that Brittish investigators have come in to assist with Cadaver dogs and DNA expertise. I doubt they would jump on the bandwagon to blame the couple nor do I believe they would hide evidence to help out the couple. I believe in the integrity of their findings (whatever they are).

We also don't know the information given in the interviews. Maybe the interviews uncovered information that help lead the investigators.

How could this alleged fluid be in a car that was rented 25 days later. Where was the little girl during that time??? This implies that the body was hidden away somewhere until the car was rented. Reports also say that the fluid was found UNDER the carpeting in the trunk of the vehicle. What's that all about. I know cadavers can excrete fluids that can leak into those type of areas but when did that happen?

It's a shame if the couple is guilty but there are answers to questions that we just don't have and will not have unless we are directly involved with the case. We aren't.

I suggest we leave our Pros and Cons for the couple at rest and hope for the truth to come out and this case to be solved.

I guess you are right. Only 99% sure so let two probable murderers walk free......OK. I'm not really talking about this case as such but all criminal cases. Are you really saying that if you don't see a guy with the knife in his hand that you can't arrest him? Everyone talks about justice for Madeleine yet a lot of people would rather that we all keep searching for her alive then bring the anyone to the courts. Evidence suggests that she is dead yet some people won't believe anything until her body is found with a note pinned to it with the message 'I did it' and a signature from Kate. Possibly even then people will say that she is being framed and the signature is a fake. Let the police gather the evidence and do their job. As much speculation as there is you have to remember that it is speculation and the police won't be taking theories from Yahoo answers members for their case.

May be innocent until proven guilty with murder but no matter and no matter what anyone else thinks. This is 100% their fault. Not 99% or 1%. It is 100% their fault that their daughter is not in her own home town, sleeping in her own bed, going to her new school and playing with her siblings. Its nobodys fault but the McCann Parents. Had they done and behaved the way parents are suppose then none of us would have any reason to speculate what happened. Sure Sure people call it a wee mistake all you want but it was clearly much more then a mistake. A mistake would be forgetting to lock your jewels up or forgetting your wallet on the table. This could have been prevented. Sure they may be suffering but they have no one to blame for themselves and their own selfishness.

Agreed, and it would appear that the 'full DNA match' claim is now being played down too:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6988485.stm

According to an expert in that article, siblings can share a large percentage of DNA. It could have come from the twins.

All these rumours taken out of trashy tabloids about them using fund money for their lawyers also irritates me. They clearly stated the money would not be used for that, and only dishrag lying tabloids have claimed otherwise. People seem to think that quoting the Daily Star, or the News of the World means a reliable piece of information.

That's why only a court will decide if it comes to it , But in the meantime if the media thrust it into our lives everyday then I am afraid you will get speculation but that's what it's all about

People will talk and you can't stop that

Anyone listen to Steve Allen this morning on LBC ?
