Question 1
Increase in volume = 600 m³
Increase in height = h m
30 x 50 x h = 600
h = 600 / 1500 m
h = 600 / 15 cm
h = 40 cm

Question 2
V = 960 cm ³
10 x 16 x h = 960
h = 960 / 160 cm
h = 6 cm

It takes 1500 m^3 to raise the level 1 meter.
If you add 600 m^3 to an empty pool, you have 6/15 of a meter of height - which is 40 cm.

The area of the box is 160 cm^2. If the volume is 960, the height is 8 cm.

1. assuming that 600m3 fills up the pool, the depth of the pool would be 600/1500 or 6/15, or that would be 0.40m or 40cm.

2. if the volume of the box is 960 cm3, the formula for volume is V = l*w*h ==> 960 = 16*10*h therefore the height of the box is 6 cm.

1) area of swimming pool=(30x50)m^2
=1500m^2
after adding the water too the pool, the volume of the water is 600m^3 ,therefore,
600m^3=height x area
600m^3=height x 1500m^2
height=(600/1500)m
height=0.4m=40cm

2) area of the rectangular = (16 x 10)cm^2
=160cm^2
volume of the rectangular = total volume of the cubes
160cm^2 x height = 960 x 1cm^3
height = (960/160)cm
=6 cm

(1) Area of the pool = Length x breadth
...................................= 50 x 30 = 1500 m²
Volume of water added= 600 m³
Increase in water level= Volume / area
......................................= 600 / 1500 = 0.4 m
......................................= 0.4 x 100 = 40 cms
......................................=================
(2) Base area of the box = 16cm x 10 cm = 160 cm²
The volume of the box = 9601 cm³
The height of the box = Volume / Area
....................................= 9601 / 160 = 60.00625 cm
....................................=========================
