I think it doesn’t get better than “Pride and Prejudice.” I personally think that Jane Austin is a genius. Try the 1995 version if you have time (I think it’s 5 hours). Or there’s always the 2006 version with Keira Knightley, which is okay. And if you end up liking “Pride and Prejudice” you should also watch “Emma.”

If you're into something different, try Korean movies. They're really into the melodrama. Some of the ones that come to mind are "My Sassy G1rl ", "The Classic", " If the Sun Rose in the West", "April Snow" and "IL MARE"(which was remade by Hollywood into the "Lake House" starring Sandra Bullock). These pretty much represents the korean romantic melodrama genre.
