Is America on autopilot? Is anybody behind the wheel of our economy? I'm not so sure if Americans would have done any worse even if we hadn't elected a President. It just seems as though Bush was elected, sat in the presidents' chair and did nothing while Cheney and buddies at Haliburton and Bush's Oil buddies got rich. The rich and greedy are taking advantage of the poor by taking their homes instead of lowering interest rates where they can afford them. The rich and greedy are taking the contracts in New Orleans to build townhome and masion instead of giving the contracts to the contractors living in New Orleans so that could be back their homes that they lost.

1. Succesfully underfunding the war in Iraq, not sending enough troops to start with, not giving the red cross enough time to get their stuff together for something of that kind of magnitude and not getting other countries involved that should have been there (Germany, China, Japan, Canada and Russia).

2. ******* up the war on terrror by not going after Bin Laden with everything we had and getting him 6 years ago like he should have. It shouldn't have taken us longer than a year to get Bin Laden, and that asshole is walking free today instead.

3. Virtually killing the economy for the poor and lower middle class. Sure, we may have a lot of job growth...but we lost a lot of good paying, good benifit jobs for a ton of small time jobs that pay a lot closer to min. wage.

4. Getting the big wigs in Halliburton, Exxon and other extremly large companies alot richer over the war in Iraq.

5. Underfunding what should have been a really good thing for the american education system. No Child Left Behind. The concept of it was truelly a great thing for education to insure that kids wouldn't fall through the cracks nearly as often. Due to the lack of funding though.....it hasn't been as successful as it should have been.

6. New Orleans - Due to putting guys with no experiance in disaster relief in possitions of putting out the money for it, New Orleans continues to suffer, and really rich contractors from other cities are getting paid big money while local contractors in New Orleans are getting the shaft and going bankrupt because they didn't get an even playing field.

7. Succesfully being a bigger butt to jokes for comedians than Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Ronald Regan could have ever been, combined.

8. Finding away in the midst of all of that to make it seem like Gay Marriage and Steem Cell research were the most important issues of our time, and not terrorism, global warming, social security, education, or our crumbling infastructure.

There, you wanted 8 things...and you got them. Thoose are the closest that I can come to for possitives even. I'm sure if I could think about it for a few hours...I could get back to you with a list of 10 more.......maybe even 15. This is how that douchebag will end up being the worst president in the history of this country.

Made Jon Stewart a star, first of all. In fact, I am sure he made many a comedien's career. I am wondering if people like Bill Maher and the creators of shows like "Lil Bush" are going to be able to eat after he's no longer President.

As far as America being on autopilot, it always has been. Clinton got lucky that he was president during an economic boom. Presidents don't run the country, its citizens do.

He said a C Student Graduate from Yale could be President and he is. He's given the expression, "It's hard work" a whole new meaning. He said he would nominate judges like Scalia and Thomas to the Supreme Court and he did. He joked that he would enjoy executing Karla Fay Tucker and he did. He said no one in America should have to pay more than a third of their income to the federal government and none of the top 0.1% of Americans pay more than 34% of the income in federal income taxes. He promised a permanent extension of the Patriot Act, which permits the government and law-enforcement officials to undertake measures once outlawed as violations of civil liberties and Congress gave him the extension. He promised to make it more difficult to file class action lawsuits and vowed to put conservative judges on the bench. With the help of Republicans in the House and the Senate, he did just that.

When President Bush took office, he was faced with Bill Clinton's eight years of decimating our military, decimating our CIA and FBI, and allowing the terrorists to plan attacks on our country. President Bush has been working hard to correct that problem and we have not had a terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11. President Bush was in office barely nine months when the attacks occurred. Clinton had eight years of destroying our intelligence community. You reap what you sow.

Bush has done a lot...unfortunately very little for the american citizens, but a whole lot for big business and the rich and especially the military industrial complex. Halliburton, and blackwater are pleased for example. So is big oil, saudi arabia, Israel, AlQuaeda, etc.....

There are many winners under Bush, its just that the american people are the big losers.
