whose parents want a name that ties in with their names Matthew and Jessica. Their is also a grandma with middle name Lynn.

I'm not a big fan of unusual names but this one is actually quite good!

I like both names, but not so much together. If i had to choose one for myself i like Jeslyn as a first name. If you go with Mataya as the 1st name just know that people will call her Matty. And you could lose that 2nd T, people will still get the connection.
And since you are named Jessica I mention that I saw a myspace profile today spelled Jecekah. I thought that was cool.

Don't like them sorry. Combining the parents names to make the child's name is kind of cheesy to me. It always looks way too made up.

I think it's beautiful. One of my sons name is Matthew.. Call him Matt. Grandpa Matt also is who he got named after.Did you do it for a family name, cause I did.Also Horace and Orilla are different, but they are in my family. Hey, since I got married my kids are stuck with a middle name ........

actually its customary in brazil. i'm not brazilian but that's what i've heard and i think its really cool. i've thought of the same thing....i think its unique and you should go with it. also matching initials or families' names. makes it so personal.
