In some ways, every vote counts more with the electoral college.
With 51 races taking place, your vote is more significant in determining your state's outcome than your vote would be if pooled in to the entire country's totals.

I don't disagree with that. The electoral college came into being because counted votes had to be transported across the country by men on horseback so representatives were elected to present the results. This was before the communications networks we have today. Votes can be counted immediately and the information sent in seconds now. People from everywhere now live in states all over the place. New Yorkers live in Alabama and Texans live in New Jersey. The mix will allow popular vote to mean what it was intended to mean. The majority of Americans want this person to lead them.

I don't know, you are probably right, but 3 or 4 states could get together and control the country. I am not in favor of that!
What it did with the use of only 2 Senators per state was to essentially try to keep the larger states from consuming the smaller ones, gaining control of the presidency for a few, in relation to our population!! Ironically, members of the electoral college are not bound to vote for the person their state chose! It doesn't happen, but it could!
And the way we elect the president has changed somewhat under the amendments to the constitution!

Every vote counts = Tyranny of the majority.
That is what the electoral college is supposed to prevent.

We need to get rid of LIBERALISM, and educate liberals such as you who have no understanding of the Constitution at all!
Go back to elementary school and this time, PAY ATTENTION!
I want a Constitutional Amendment now that protects the Electoral College from misguided liberals such as you! I want it affirmed that the Electoral College can never be jeopardized throughout our country's future.

Won't happen. Do you know why? Let me help you. Ask yourself who would win from that and who would lose if the people's will was actually elected presented?

instead of pointing fingers at the "LIBERALS" who have no knowledge of the constitution maybe you should talk to your IGNORANT republican friends in california. republicans are such hypocrites. well, it is a party who promotes their platform on family values and opposed anything giving any rights to the gay community.... but wait it is the republican senators that are caught in restrooms and have scandals with little boys right???
