Prolonged Period?

I just moved away to college while, subsequently, ending a 150 mile long distance relationship because I'm now attending school with my boyfriend. I am on the Yaz birth control pill and was scheduled to have my period two days after I got here. Because he and I hadn't seen each other in forever, I wanted my time with him, so I finished my pack of pills, skipped the placebos, and went straight into the next pack. The very next day, I started my period (while taking active pills) and I have been bleeding ever since that day (for going on ten days). I've stopped cramping and it's more annoying than anything. He's large in size, could it be the sex that causes it (i. e. extreme deepness much more than I am used to), or do you think it's more of a female thing and because of these pills? Personally, I think karma is coming back to get me, but I would like to know, has anyone else gone through this? What else should I do? How much longer should I wait?
