1. The answer is 1 (one)
(5+1)+14 = 5+(?+14)
(6)+14 = 5 +(?+14)
20 = 5 + (?+14)
20 - 5 = ? + 14
15 = ? + 14
? = 15 - 14
? = 1
2. The answer is - 1.4285
(5*4) : (2-4^2)
20 : (2 - 16)
20 : (-14)
- 1.4285
Notes :
4^2 means 4*4 and plus divided by minus will result a minus number

1) Always do everything in parentheses first- then you'll see the equation as:
(6) + 14 = 5 + (?+14)
6 + 14 = 20, so slip that on the left side...
That leaves you with:
20 = 5 + (? + 14)
Subtract 5 from both sides... you'll get:
15 = (?+14)
All that's left to do is subtract 14 from both sides to get 1=?
2) You did this one right, provided it was asking you to subtract 4^2 from the solution of 5*4 divided by 2.

1. The question mark should be a "1". This shows the associative rule of addition.
2. Do you mean (5*4) / (2 - (4^2)), or (5*4 / 2) - (4^2), or (5*4) / (2 - 4)^2, or something else?

The first answer is 1 6+14=5+15=20.
The second is harder, I can't tell exactly where the division sign is and how much is on the bottom.
